• John Schmitz, CEO

Mr. Schmitz serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Select Energy Services, a holding company he founded in 2008. Select evolved from Peak Oilfield Services, an oil services provider he created, and transformed into Select Energy Services through strategic acquisitions.
Mr. Schmitz serves as the President of B-29 Investments since he and his brother, Steve Schmitz originally founded the Texas limited partnership. B-29, in addition to other key investment partners, provides financial capital for Select.
Mr. Schmitz has impressive experience in the oil and gas industry. He is the President of HEP Oil Company, an exploration and production company that owns interests in approximately 1,500 producing wells throughout nine states. Mr. Schmitz is also a Board member for Allied Production Services, Inc., a process and storage equipment manufacturer for oil and gas producers servicing the unconventional resource plays in the lower United States.
Prior to his current involvement at Select, HEP, and Allied, Mr. Schmitz served as the North Texas Division Manager for Complete Production Services (NYSE: CPX), a publicly traded oilfield service company with a market capitalization of approximately $1.95 billion. In 1983, John founded Brammer Supply and spent the next 20 years growing the company, both organically and through acquisitions, into BSI, an integrated wellsite services provider with over 16 locations in North and East Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. BSI was acquired by Complete Energy Services (later Complete Production Services) in November 2003 and now represents the company's North Texas division. John also served as the President of Cimarron Gathering, LP, a midstream company that focused on natural gas and crude oil gathering. Cimarron was sold to Copano Energy in May, 2007.
• Eric Mattson, CFO

Mr. Mattson has been serving as Chief Financial Officer for Select since the fall of 2008. Prior to becoming CFO, Mr. Mattson was involved with Select though his affiliation with Juniper Capital, an investment firm focused on oilfield service opportunities, particularly in the Barnett Shale play in North Texas.
Like other members of the Select management team, Mr. Mattson brings valuable experience to the company. From 1993 through 1999, Mr. Mattson served as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Baker Hughes Inc., a leading oil service company. Having joined Baker International, Inc. in 1980, Mr. Mattson served in a number of capacities including Treasurer prior to the merger of Baker International, Inc. and Hughes Tool Co. in 1987 at which time he became Vice President and Treasurer of Baker Hughes, Inc.
Since 1995, Mr. Mattson has served as a member of the Board of Directors of National Oilwell Varco, a leading oil service and manufacturing company, and its predecessor companies, Varco International, Inc and Tuboscope, Inc. He is currently a member of the Audit Committee at National Oilwell Varco.
From 1999 to 2007, Mr. Mattson served as the SVP & CFO of two technology companies, NetRail, Inc., a Tier One IP provider and VeriCenter, Inc., an IT managed services provider. Both companies were venture capital backed start-up companies and were successfully sold to Cogent Technologies and SunGard, Inc, respectively.
Mr. Mattson holds a BS degree in Economics and an MBA degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
• Jim Burtner, VP Business Development

Mr. Burtner joined Select Energy Services after completing a thirty-two year career with the Baker Oil Tools Division of Baker Hughes Inc. Jim has in-depth experience in downhole product engineering, sales/marketing, operations for drilling, completion, workover applications and technologies.
Most recently Jim was the VP of North America Operations which was the largest region within the Baker Hughes organization with over sixty sales and service locations.
Ten years prior, Jim was the VP of Worldwide Marketing and Technology. He was responsible for all aspects of product line management and engineering design functions for eleven product lines with centers in the US and Europe.
Jim holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Louisiana and Texas.
• Adney Stowe, VP Sales & Marketing

Mr. Stowe joined Select Energy Services (formerly Peak Oilfield Services) in March of 2008. Mr. Stowe has more than 30 years experience in oilfield and wellsite servicing.
In 1988 Mr. Stowe co-founded a logging and perforating company. Then in 1992, Mr. Stowe founded and served as General Manager for Hydracoil/HC Wireline Incorporated, a provider of coil tubing cementing techniques, which at the time was a unique process in the North Texas area. In 2003, the company was purchased by WH Energy, and Mr. Stowe remained with the newly named Enertech Wireline Services, serving first as General Manager, and then Vice President of Operations, where he was instrumental in more than doubling the number of service locations over 4 years.
In Mr. Stowe's current role with Select, he manages the sales team and leads marketing efforts in 5 states.
• Cody Ortowski, VP Operations

Mr. Ortowski has served as Vice President of Operations for Select Energy Services since its inception in 2008. Cody joined Select (formerly Peak Oilfield Services) with the acquisition of Impact Energy Services, a water transfer company founded by Cody and his brother Cole in 2004.
Presently, Cody's responsibilities include oversight of 4 Presidents functioning under Select, as well as directing Select's Safety division.
Prior to founding Impact, Cody worked for 14 years for Pumpco Energy Services, a stimulation and cementing company headquartered in Gainesville, Texas. Cody served as Vice President of Stimulation Services, where he was instrumental in growing Pumpco Energy Services operations throughout the Barnett Shale of North Texas and expanding into other US markets.
Cody holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Financial Management from Abilene Christian University.
